This is a fiery book that gives man no excuse to not believe in God. The author gives readers the truth directly from the Word of God. Sure, an atheist can excuse his conscience but not the Word of God; the Word of God is as a sword that divides to the soul. The first few pages, being a believer, made me tremble a bit, as every man shall given an account. I actually thought this was going to be a nice, easy-breezy book, how wrong I was. The author has chosen to speak directly from the Bible what God says about eternity, life, sin and death.  Written expressly in layman’s terms, the Gospel is presented in such a way that explains the truth and reality of the Word of God while offering Scripture as foundational quotes. This book is eye-opening and sobering at the same time. The search for Orthodoxy gives the reality of eternal life to those who believe, and those who do not.

With compassion and foresight, the author, in my opinion, has written this book “for such a time as this”. At a time with the divide and watering down of the truth and the true Gospel, the author reminds us all of the importance of eternal life, and the man, although appointed to die once has an eternal soul. There are many souls that are lost, confused, or willfully rebellious that God is calling back to Himself. Consequences of unbelief, sin and rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are deeply evident in this book.

The search for truth and orthodoxy: A Layman’s Guide to Eternal Life will answer all those questions readers might have according to the Word of God alongside additional commentary by the author. The book is a well-written and researched guide to understanding the importance of the soul, salvation, and why Jesus Christ was sacrificed for our sin. The author helps readers understand the deep truths of Scripture that has been somehow lost in modern-day churches, as we head towards the “Great Falling Away” as Apostle Paul wrote. He delineates also between the corruption of the Gospel through doctrines that are not preaching Biblical truth.

This is a compelling and challenging read! Recommended for all. This book is also a fantastic evangelical tool! (I’d have some in my car, ready to give out to the world! Anyone who dares to not believe there is a God, will surely understand how very wrong they may be.)
