The Timeless Apostle by Kenneth Urbansky is a fantastic time-travelling adventure of a young man, Thomas. Thomas, tired of living under his father’s roof, deems himself a failure. His girlfriend Becky deeply loves him and supports him. Thomas is in a timeline of his life where he wishes he can jump forward in time and out of where he is at. In a way, he does. He time travels. Deeply inviting, the author weaves Thomas's story, and character, alongside the family backdrop, that tells the story of the times of Jesus. True to Scripture, he takes readers back…to a time of the Bible. And oh, what an adventure it is!
An appreciated novel, the author has brought to life a walk alongside the disciples and how it could have been for them. This is a modern-age fiction novel of time travel offering the Bible as its backdrop. Different characters emerge, and interesting dialogue reveals the disciple's emotions and thoughts, as well as relatable characters. This book is an entertaining and delightful look into a time period that readers will certainly enjoy!
This is a fun and adventurous book, revealing the walk of Thomas, as “Doubting Thomas” who had one mistake give him a label in which he should not have had to be remembered by…as “the doubter.” Ken Ubansky’s book suggests to readers that it is God who redeems and that we should not look at past failures and let those failures define us.
This was an immensely enjoyable fictional book that puts Christianity and how a lot of people feel about it front and center…however, the author offers something more – the truth of the apostolic adventures of The Timeless Apostle that provides hope.
