This book speaks volumes, yet is simple to understand. This is a series birthed from God’s heart and is aimed at bringing the Church to its rightful place. I find this series to be a Holy Spirit inspired and a timely teaching that can assist those searching for a closer walk with God to find a proper balance in their relationship and faith toward God. Written to help one become an overcomer, needless to say, this book is paramount in the days ahead.

His (God’s) ways are certainly not our ways, look into this book to find answers on how to become a responsible Christian.

Written to transform the soul and turn others towards Jesus Christ, this book has been compiled from the author's corporate and life experiences to help others also discover purpose in their life according to God’s plans. 

Written from a place of humility and brokenness, beautiful poems emerge, penned in the heat of the moment of despair, revealing this man’s journey back to wholeness through several avenues: namely conversations with God, as he explains his corporate journey. 

His life details four marriages, estranged children, spousal loss, job loss, corporate pressures, and moral failures. Yet, hope from God’s goodness comes forth as the book describes the day he hit “an emotional wall” and found God. This exciting moment transformed him and put him on a path to regeneration. His hopes are that readers find life in Jesus Christ and recognize that at the end of any dark tunnel is a bright light, Jesus Christ. 

Organized and formatted into five conversations: Taming the Corporate Animal, Evolution of Love, Being Human and Being Humanized, and Humanized Man - this man’s discovery will help other men fully “live again” with joy, contentment, peace, and harmony with God, with family, and with all others they encounter in the workplace. A tremendous inside look into the corporate “dog” life that transformed this man to seek “what is above.” The wonderful poetry will touch your heart, soul, and mind. This book is penned from such a sincere place of love and preparing for the “next life,” that brought tears to my eyes as this man has authored this book for you, the reader, to help you on your journey of life.

Additionally, this is a wonderful exploration into finding purpose amidst the world’s corporate workplace and turning this shark eating frenzy into a blessed life, helping others. What an impactful read!

J. Bernard Taylor in his new book, Believing in God and Acting as if He Exists: A Response to Christian Athesism, takes a stand against a recent movement in the religious community known as Christian Atheism. These people do not believe in God, as the author states, yet conduct their lives as if God does exist. They may partake in the teachings of Christ, yet deny the existence of a God. Better known as “Practical Atheism” this philosophy is sweeping through Christian communities. His book provides encouragement and insight that explains a dual battle taking place among some Christian believers, resulting in a practical unbelief. As a 98-year-old retired pastor and one with a D.Min. degree, as well as being a WWII and D-Day Veteran, J. Bernard gives encouragement and much wisdom to practically live as God does truly exist. This is a better way to live.

Beginning with choosing life, the author helps one come to the understanding and knowledge from a Biblical and life perspective of “why” choosing God and His ways are a better choice for life. Full of Scripture with an interactive experience consisting of pertinent questions and prayers at the end of chapters, this read becomes more of a life application and guidebook.

With a full spectrum of not only the Good News of the Gospel, the author highlights God’s plan for peace in one’s life, along with giving advice on how to resist temptation and how to live a fulfilling Christian life. Sound Biblical teachings and Kingdom principles are written in a practical way that will help one assimilate Biblical living into their everyday life. One will also come to learn that becoming Christlike in character is obedience to the ways of Christ. With that said, this book is not a theological book, but describes through life experiences and choices, God’s way of life with Jesus is a better choice. Poignant questions also assist readers in reflection upon Scripture and their own life and perspectives that bring understanding and belief that God does in fact exist. He relates that living a life without God is futile. His book describes that a false belief in Christian Atheism and Practical Atheism is a poor substitute for the truth.

Similarly, one can look at how God works through life experiences. His book keenly states the differences of living in God versus only following the teachings of Christ without the saving transformation of believing upon Jesus Christ. He writes that God matters in everyday life. Further, he teaches that living a life being spiritually transformed reaches every area of our lives, to include how we conduct ourselves in the world, the Church, and in our relationships, even at work and every other aspect of life we may encounter.

Uplifting, insightful and full of Biblical wisdom, this practical book gives one the tools to keep believing in God and act as if He does exist that foster a richer and more content lifestyle with joy and happiness, knowing that God is with you and does exist.

Considering the apathy and Practical Atheism that is sweeping through churches and affecting the youth, this book is a truly valuable resource.  A wonderful and highly recommended read!

The author is a writer that helps readers refocus on what’s really important in life. Sharing from her perspective, God, and the simplicity of certain things, like listening to a single bird chirp heralding the day coming forth, are some of the examples of simple joy in her life. Along with this, the book offers readers scriptural wisdom on life, love, spirituality, while explaining to readers that we are only “spirits having a human experience.” 

Many subjects are written about such as: the art of joy and contentment, finding hope in God, discovering simple things, appreciation for family and past generations, wisdom from those you meet along your life journey, homeschooling, mothering, angels, music, eternal life, and so much more. 

I found reading her book enjoyable and relaxing, and a way to refocus my mind away from daily negativity and the monotony of life. Simply put, readers will enjoy her openness, wisdom, and positive writings from a person that really appreciates life and the little things. I can resonate, so will readers, as they reflect, absorb, and renew their energy by letting a little of the light in from her writings. 

Daily reflections from her blogs also help one to realize that we as humans are reaching for something much bigger than ourselves during our brief time here on Earth as “spiritual beings having a human experience.” She expresses life is a journey towards that eternal home in Heaven.
  
As such, this book comes as a highly recommended read to uplift anyone’s day! 

Read it as a daily devotional, offer to a friend, or just sit with a cup of coffee and enjoy.

The Soul’s Destiny: Discoveries of an Ordinary Christian by Thelma Jane reveals not a religion, but an eternal place that each soul is on a journey of one of only two paths that leads to their destiny (Heaven or Hell) as spoken of in the Bible. She also reveals God, who He is, a loving and merciful God, and salvation through the long awaited Messiah, Jesus Christ, who atoned for all mankind’s’ sin on the cross.

Written in three parts, her aim is to reveal the biblical mysteries about God’s nature, the plan and purpose for creation, the fall of Adam and the origin of evil that reveal God’s plan of salvation for humanity, ending in the soul’s eternal destiny. Intertwining her own experience, her goal is to ring balance, as well as to bring knowledge to know the truth. Basing her knowledge on Scripture, she gives those who are searching for purpose an opportunity to understand spiritual knowledge that one can either miss, or deny, relating to the existence of the unseen laws of God that rule the universe. Christ’s atonement on the cross is the cornerstone of her message.

However, some may disagree on her stance, yet she explains why she could not accept what the usual biblical scholars teach. This is up to the reader to decide. She writes, “God’s laws of love are both just and merciful. My goal here is to try to bring balance between the two extremes of some Christian teachings, so that the truth in God’s Word is made known.”

The SOTH Initiative (Book One), Sect of the Healed Chronicles by Dean Brior is a fascinating read, full of mystery and intrigue, as one learns the story of the SOTH (Sect of the Healed). These are the direct descendants of the people Jesus healed in the Bible. For an unknown reason, their DNA changed at the moment of healing, and passes down to the generations as special gifts, talents, and strengths. Their Sect (SOTH) has been devout followers of Jesus, as their forefathers witnessed those healing miracles mentioned in the Bible. 

The SOTH have also been given a mandate, passed down through the centuries and generations to follow. Their mandate was to preserve, hide,  and protect ancient relics, historical documents and artifacts that disprove those who do not believe until the “great revealing”.   

Beginning with Johnathan, a SOTH, is running for his life. He is the last known of his family line who have been hunted down for generations. Fast forward to modern day, Dr. Lyndon Johnson Batchelor, called Lindey by friends, is frustrated at the comments left on his blog debating whether or not God could be God if He came in fleshly form. After receiving a mysterious email from an unknown source, Dr. Lindey embarks on a quest…, a “truth journey” beginning in Lebanon, Connecticut. 

Intrigued, Dr. Lindey follows this first clue in a search for truth. Each step of the way, the author unveils faith in Jesus and His miracles as recorded in the each of the four gospels found in the Bible. With a keen story-telling ability, coupled with a vast historical and archeological background, readers will not be disappointed! With a touch of relevancy, the author has included the Jihad belief stemming from the Muslim religion and followers that make an interesting plot line.  

This is a fast-paced, but not too fast novel, that flips back-and-forth from different ancient timelines to the present blending cyber technology, investigative tracking from the FBI side to DNA espionage – with reality of terrorism threats! The author develops his characters in such a way that they are believable. Each chapter hinges on the other and pieces become a clear picture of the main thread of the novel. With historical places and wonderful descriptions, with great insight, and knowledge from artifacts and archeology, the author unveils the SOTH’s as a heroic sect protecting the integrity of the Christian faith. This is an incredibly creative novel that gives credence to the deity of Christ, stays true to the Gospel of Christ, and gives the readers a narrative of the truth, only in fiction form. 

Well done and I look forward to Book Two! I absolutely loved this book. Certainly, all the ingredients in this book would make for a great movie!
